The Fine Wine and Cheese Party goes Italian -- November 6, 2010
The Independence Park Field House turned into a bungalow-styled Italian wine bar and trattoria on November 6. That's the night when 215 neighbors gathered to enjoy Italian wines and cheese and a marvelous silent auction at the Fifth Annual Fine Wine & Cheese Party.
The event raised $12,500 for the Independence Park Bungalow Renovation Project. The evening's efforts brought the total collected to date for the Green Bungalow Project to $80,000.
A Neighbor's Wine Basket with 12 specially selected wines, was the featured raffle prize. Piano bar musician Pete Miletec entertained the crowd. He got everyone dancing and singing in no time. Local wine connoisseurs provided the selection of six Italian wines that were served. Whole Foods Market Sauganash donated the Italian Cheese.
Gourmet pancake breakfast
On June 30, we had the priviledge of participating in Whole Foods Market's Community Support Day. Thanks to everyone who came out and shopped and shopped. We broke the store record which contrbuted $4,200 to our project Over 400 people came out on a beautiful Sunday morning in August to enjoy gourmet pancakes created especially for this event by our own Bobbie Bolociuch. The event raised $4,000 of which half was donated to our project.THank YOU Whole Foods Market |
